From the moment Alexander Graham Bell was born, communication was at the center of life: his father was a speech instructor and his mother was deaf. Alexander would one day become a teacher of the Deaf himself, but his obsession with communication went further still, leading to all manner of experiments and inventions. He would not rest until he had achieved what he set his mind to: the invention of the telephone.
