Louisiana Land of Liberty

Land of Liberty is a high school U.S. history curriculum developed in partnership with the Louisiana Department of Education to support the 2022 Louisiana Student Standards for Social Studies.

 

Land of Liberty Curriculum Components

  • Student Volumes:  engaging narrative text interspersed with primary source excerpts, editorial cartoons, maps, graphs, and charts
  • Teacher Guides:  instructional support, suggested activities, topic assessments, and unit performance tasks
  • DBQ Workbook:  additional primary source activities, organized by unit and topic, can be used independently or in conjunction with the Student Volume primary sources
  • Instructional Slide Decks:  Google slides featuring images from the Student Volume and teacher notes; for use as a planning, lecture, and/or review tool
  • Online Resources:  suggested pacing, background information for teachers, resources such as videos to support student reading
