In this unit, Science for Everyone, Grade 1 children continue their examination of what it means to be scientifically literate. Students in Grade 1 gain a deeper understanding of the processes of science—including measuring, models, cause and effect, systems–and the role of science in our daily lives. Going further, students read about how science interfaces with all aspects of human learning, such as art, history, biography, mathematics, music, philosophy, and literature.
