From Colonies to Independence follows the evolution of the thirteen North American colonies from their dependence on Great Britain, to the American Revolution, and their emergence of the independent United States of America. Students meet Paul Revere, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and other patriots who worked to create a new democratic government.
