CK Visual Arts: Grade K


Focus:
Kindergarten CKVA consists of three units. In Unit 1, Elements of Art: Color, students learn the basics of color, and the ways in which colors can elicit different feelings. Then, in Unit 2, Elements of Art: Line, they will be introduced to the different ways line is used in art, observing patterns and shapes and looking at how artists use lines. In Types of Art: Sculpture and Architecture, students will learn about forms of three-dimensional art.

Number of Lessons: 24

Instruction Time: 45 minutes each. Each lesson may be divided into smaller segments.
