The Cross Curriculum Connections for Louisiana Bayou Bridges (LABB) highlight intentional integration of literacy-rich historical content across grades K-8 through alignment with Core Knowledge biography and narrative series, including the CK Voices in History™, CK Adventures in History™, and CK Collections of Tales™. These connections strengthen disciplinary learning by pairing each social studies unit with engaging, age-appropriate texts that deepen students’ understanding of historical periods, civic development, and influential figures from early American history and global civilizations to industrialization, reform movements, and modern world events.
