Strengthen Teachers. Deepen Student Learning.
Bring the Core Knowledge approach to life with curriculum-specific professional learning. Our blended model combines online preparation with in-person training to equip teachers with the strategies and confidence they need to deliver engaging, knowledge-rich lessons.
Blended Learning Model
Before the training day, participants complete two short asynchronous online modules:
- The Core Knowledge Approach: An overview of the philosophy and principles that guide all Core Knowledge curricula.
- Introduction to CKHG: A subject-specific orientation that builds a foundation in the design and features of CKHG.
These modules ensure that the in-person training day is maximized for active learning, collaboration, and application.
One-Day In-Person Training
- Engage: Experience high-quality CKHG instruction in action.
- Explore: Dive into the structure and supports within the curriculum.
- Envision: Create a pacing plan to ensure complete, coherent coverage of all CKHG units.
Outcome: Participants leave prepared to bring CKHG to life in their classrooms through purposeful planning and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
