This 6-part online course offers an introduction to the K–2 Core Knowledge History and Geography (CKHG) program. It includes background information on the approach and design, an overview of the materials, notes on civics integration, suggestions around planning, and more.
The base price ($250) includes enrollment for up to 10 participants. Larger groups have the option of adding additional participants for $25 each.
The Introduction to K–2 Core Knowledge History & Geography online course includes six modules that highlight core elements and considerations for successful implementation, such as: what are the key resources; what design principles informed the look and feel of the program; and, what do I need to consider when preparing for instruction.
Audience: Teachers, Instructional Support Personnel (e.g., Coaches), School Leaders
- Describe how the CKHG program aligns with the Core Knowledge approach.
- Identify each of the resources that make up the CKHG K–2 program.
- Describe key features within the Teacher Guide.
- Describe important planning considerations.
When you purchase the professional learning bundle, you may enroll a total of up to 10 participants. Please increase the quantity of the individual enrollment for each additional user you wish to enroll in this course.
After purchase, you’ll be asked to provide the contact information for each user to be enrolled. Each participant will then be invited to begin, and the learning content will remain live for 45 days from the time of this invite.
