The Teacher Guide includes detailed guidance and activities for reading and discussing the different informational texts and text structures in Calling All Minds: How to Think and Create Like an Inventor. In her book, Temple Grandin combines autobiographical stories with explorations of other inventors and their inventions, and then gives instructions for projects and experiments. Students will explore the different text structures used in science writing as they write and publish their own explanatory texts. The Teacher Guide also gives instruction in morphology, grammar, and spelling, and provides mid- and end-of-unit assessments and comprehension checks.
