Early Childhood Education
Carolyn received her Ph.D. in Language and Literacy Development and Disorders from the University of Virginia where she worked on a research project evaluating the effectiveness of a preschool curriculum designed to enhance young children’s language and literacy skills. As part of her doctoral work, Carolyn published research articles investigating the links among language, literacy, and classroom experiences in preschool. Carolyn also has an M.Ed. in Speech Language Pathology. Her teaching experience includes a year spent as a Teaching Assistant in a preschool classroom in the United Kingdom.
