Texas Long Hairs

Dallas Morning NewsHair today, gone tomorrow. A Texas teenager who was suspended from high school for wearing his hair too long has decided to transfer to a new school. Matthew Lopez-Widish, currently enjoying 15 minutes of fame, was among five students suspended from Kerens High School in rural Texas for violating the student hair code. “What amazes me is that we aren’t the only district in Texas that has a hair code policy,” said district superintendent Kevin Stanford. What should really amaze him is the the school’s 86-page dress code also forbids mismatched socks.
