What's New on our Website?

Special Recognition for PS 124 in New York

The staff at the Core Knowledge Foundation would like to congratulate the dedicated faculty, students, and parents of PS124 in Ozone Park, NY, for their extraordinary achievement since implementing the Core Knowledge curriculum. Five years ago, student scores on the state Grade 4 ELA tests were just 36.6% passing. Last year, however, student scores jumped to a whopping 80.9% passing!

Many of the 4th graders who performed so well on that test, incidentally, were kindergartners when the school first began implementing Core Knowledge, so we are seeing the Sequence in action. Core Knowledge staff members who visited PS124 were also “floored” by the quality of the student work displayed throughout the school. Good luck to PS124 and all the Core Knowledge schools in the coming school year. Keep up the great work!
