Newark Charter Gets Bragging Rights

Newark Charter School in Delaware reports inspiring results from their statewide 8th Grade Science and Social Studies tests last May. Their 8th graders were the first class to complete the Core Knowledge Sequence (grades 5-8) since the school opened, and their scores are impressive indeed. More than 93% met or exceeded standards in both subjects, with 41% earning the highest possible score in Science and 25% hitting the highest mark in Social Studies. To quote the school’s enthusiastic Core Knowledge Coordinator, Esther Jackson: “We are seeing that knowledge builds on knowledge.” Congratulations go out to all the faculty and students!
