3. Unit Title and Sequence Source

Unit/Presentation Title:

Please provide only one unit title. This form should be completed for each unit you are submitting

List the page number of the Core Knowledge K-8 Sequence or Preschool Sequence where the topic of your unit is found:
(This is required for all units except Administrative sessions.)

4. The Abstract

In a minimum of 30 words and a maximum of 50 words, please provide a description of your presentation, as you would like it to appear in the conference program. As you write your description, use third person and include the title, target audience, and any specific topics from the Core Knowledge Sequence that are addressed. Your abstract may be edited by conference staff to better meet the needs of our attendees.

Example Presentation Abstract:

Students who can decode but have difficulty comprehending or inferring are an ever-present challenge to teachers. Learn about the school-wide literacy program that ABC School developed. The steps taken to research, select, implement, and monitor this program will be discussed.

5. Scheduling

You must be available to present anytime between 8:00AM and 4:00 PM on either Friday, Nov. 20th or Saturday, Nov. 21, 2008. Scheduling requests will not be accepted.

You will be notified via e-mail when your submission is received.

Later, you will be notified via email whether or not your proposal is accepted, or whether your unit is chosen as an alternate.

All unit submissions for 2009 will be accepted as an e-mail attachment, an upload (use the link above) or as a file on a CD. If your file is over 1 Mb in size, please upload. If your file is over 10 Mb in size, we prefer to receive it on a CD.
